Ravimangalam Mahavishnu
Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is renowned for its
association with the Gajendramoksha legend. The temple was completely destroyed
during Tipu Sultan's Malabar invasion but is currently undergoing renovation
under the supervision of a temple trust. According to legend, the idol was
installed by the 14th-century Keralite saint Vilwamangalam Swamiyar, a devoted
follower of Lord Guruvayoorappan and the author of the devotional masterpiece
Sreekrishnakarnamrutham.
