This Devi temple is at
Kattangal on Mavoor road in Kozhikode district. It is one of the most important
Bhagavathy temples in the Malabar region of Kerala.
Devi is consecrated as Arayil Bhagavathy and Moovanthi Kali. Shasthaav,
Ganapathy, Nagaraja, Nagayakshi and Aacharya Rakshas are consecrated as
subordinate deities. A large number of devotees come to worship here on Tuesdays
and Fridays. Muttarakkal is the main offering. The Pooja system and offerings are
similar to those in the famous Kadampuzha Bhagavathy temple. The pleasant, calm
atmosphere and beautiful “Theerthakulam” (Temple pond) give mental peace and
harmony to the devotees
