This is one of the most unique temples in Kerala with special rituals that are not seen anywhere else. It is on the Koratti Annamanada route in Thrissur district. The temple is open for worship only for thirty days a year; from the 1st of the Malayalam month of Kumbham to the 30th. No one goes to that place at other times. The vegetation that would have covered the premises is cleared and the temple opened on the 1st of Kumbham. The Goddess is consecrated in an idol in the shape of Valkannadi, facing the west. It is believed that if anyone ventures there before the
more time of the opening, the Goddess would become too fierce.
