Originally known as
Thayamkulangara Kavu in the Thottam Pattu, Varam Sree Sastham Kottom Shiva
Temple is one of the 108 Ayyappa temples in Kerala. The temple is renowned for
its unique Sastha murti, depicted holding a lotus. While Lord Shiva is the
principal deity worshipped here, the temple's prominence is largely attributed
to the Upa Devata, Sastha. This sacred temple is situated along the Kannur Mattannur road in Kannur district.
