This temple is at Mannampatta, Sreekrishnspuram. According to legends, a woman sharpened her sickle on a stone when she went to cut grass at the place where the temple stands today. When blood oozed out from the stone, she applied some crushed green leaves on it to stop the bleeding. As the bleeding did not stop she informed the local people about it. During an astrological consultation, it was found that the stone contained the effùlgence of Lord Siva. A temple was built for the self-originated idol. As the woman had applied green leaves (pachayila) on the stone, the temple came to be referred to as
more Pachila temple. Paddy fields can be seen on the southeastern part of the temple even today.
