This ancient temple is at Kurichithanam, in Kottayam District. The unique feature of this temple is that it has Goddess Bhadra, Lord Siva and Goddess Durga facing the west in the same temple premises. The temple is under Kakkaarupally and Madam Manas who run the temple with the support of the devotees. Goddess Bhadrakali is considered to be the main deity. Lord Siva was consecrated later. Yakshi, Anthimahakalan, Aylakshi, Rakshass, Nagaraja and the Serpents are consecrated as subordinate deities. The Balithara, the sacred platform at the western gate, is considered as the abode of Vanadurga by the aboriginal tribes of this area. So, they bring sheaves of
more paddy after harvest to the temple in a festive mood of dance and songs on the first of Vrischikam. The Goddess is considered the special deity of nine areas Perumthanam, Uzhavoor, Kutakkachira, Palakkaattumala, Nellithanathu mala, Aantoor, Marangattupally, Kuryanadu, and Kurichithabam.
