This temple, over a thousand years old, is situated in Peruvemb village in the Palaghat
district. It stands in the middle of a forest of about 3 acres. Mahadeva is
consecrated here as Vaidyanatha. At present, there are only the main sanctum and
two sancta of the subordinate deities still in existence. The subordinate
deities are Maha Ganapathy and Sethumadhavan. The remains of the temple that
were destroyed during the invasion by the army of Tippu Sultan can be seen
here. Now puja is offered in the morning.
