This temple is situated about 100 meters away from the Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple, on the Amman Kovil Road, at Ettumanoor in Kottayam District. The temple is under the Mariyamman Kovil Trust. The main consecration is that of Goddess Parvathy. It is believed that the temple was built for the workers who came from Tamil Nadu to construct some temples for the Maharaja of Travancore. The Vishwakarma group were involved in the construction of the temples but they were not allowed to enter the temples for worship. They had the custom of worshipping their Kula Daivam before starting work. It is for this that the temple was constructed more here. Shiva, Parvathy, and the subordinate deities were invoked from their original temple at Shankaran Kovil in Tamil Nadu and brought to this temple. Manjal Neeratt's performance is considered the most important here.
