Poovathikkal Narasimha Temple, believed to be around 3,000 years old, was rediscovered in 2010 after being buried under the earth. Residents purchased 36 cents of land and excavated the site, unearthing magnificent stone structures, idols, and artefacts. The temple also features a pond adorned with large stones. Current efforts aim to secure all the Narasimha deity's land and reconstruct the temple in His name.
