Gowreesapattom Sree Mahadevar Temple, constructed approximately 200 years ago by the Maharaja of Travancore, is a revered Hindu temple in Trivandrum. Founded by King Sree Mathanda Verma, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort, Parvathi Devi, and attracts many devotees. The temple is known for conducting various pujas such as Uma Maheshwara and Swayambaram Archana, performed by experienced priests. It is one of the prominent temples in Trivandrum city, located around the Medical College, Kannamoola, and Pattom areas. Visitors can reach the temple via bus service, with a private bus named "UNNIKRISHNAN" providing convenient access. Nearby amenities include a hospital and an auto stand. The more temple operates under the management of the Travancore Devaswom Board and is open daily from 5 AM to 10 AM and from 5 PM to 8 PM. Lord Shiva and several other Shaivite deities are enshrined here, with Monday being considered especially auspicious for prayers.
