This temple is at Mithranandapuram
in the Peruvanam village, 10 km south of Thrissur. There are only very few
temples dedicated to Vamanamoorthy. It is one of the ten temples that belonged
to the Nedumpilly Tharananelloor mana, one of the oldest families of priests in
Kerala. Though Maha Vishnu is consecrated here, He is worshipped as
Vamanamoorthy. There are no records to determine the antiquity of this temple
though it is believed to be more than 1500 years old.
