This temple is situated at Thekkenkuttoor in Thalakadu Panchayath of Malappuram district. It is a very ancient and famous Siva temple believed to be more than 1500 years old. At a time when the temple was at the height of its glory, the Payyoor mana was managing the temple directly. But for some reason, the poojas were disrupted and the temple remained neglected for many years. In 1993, the owners handed over the temple to the local people. A committee for running the temple was formed under Sree Pazhayedath Kshethra Samrakshana Samithy. With the sincere efforts of the committee, the temple has been renovated.
