Eruthavur temple stands proudly on Kattakada Road, Balaramapuram, situated 14 kilometres south of Thiruvananthapuram in Thiruvananthapuram district. Within its sacred walls rests a cherished idol of Subramanyaswamy depicted as a child. Since its registration under number 69/1991/IV in 1991, the temple has remained operational under the trust's auspices. Revered as one of Kerala's significant Subramanya temples, it is often referred to as Kerala Palani, owing to its location atop Eruthavur Hill, rising approximately 200 feet above sea level. Devotees can access the temple from both east and west, mirroring the pilgrimage routes to Palani. Each day, numerous worshippers journey here from across Kerala and Tamil Nadu to seek
more solace from Balasubramanian, the divine presence reigning over Eruthavur. Many arrive to fulfil vows, perform rituals, or undergo the customary head-shaving. Moreover, devotees frequent the temple seeking resolution for familial issues, alleviation from ailments, and other personal tribulations.
