This temple is situated at Ayyambilly in the Vypeen islands in Ernakulam. This temple was constructed and maintained by the Kochi Royal family. Sree Mahadeva is consecrated facing the east and Sree Parvathy facing the west. Devotees must enter the temple only through the eastern entrance and go out through the western one. A huge temple compound has a tall and broad wall around it. The wall built during the rule of the King of Kochi remains in good condition. There is a temple with Ayyappa consecrated in the same compound. But women are not allowed to pray there. There are huge trees that make the temple premises
more calm and impressive. The temple is under the Kochi Devaswom Board now.
