Chathakudam Sreedharma sastha temple an age-old temple having more than 2300 years of heritage and antiquity. The main deity of the temple is "Sreedharma Sastha" resembling Maha Guru "Vishwamitra". The temple is having all visual monuments like Gajaprista Sreekovil, Vilakkumadathara, Aanappallamathil and east and west Maha Gopurams. Temple is situated 15km south from Temple city- Thrissur on kodungalloor route and 5km west to NH47 PALIYEKKARA. Chathakudam Sreedharma sastha an important deity participating in 1429 years old Peruvanam Arattupuzha Pooram. The annual pooram festival falls in the month of Malayalam meenam (English march or april) every year. Sastha is having pooram more procession with 7 elephants at Chathakudam, Peruvanam, Pidikkaparambu(9 elephants) and Arattupuzha followed by Kootiezhunellippu the Grand Finale with caparisoned 71 elephants having Thriprayaar Thevar along with Chathakudam Sastha having both sides Urakathammathiruvadi and Cherpu Bhagavathy gives the divine Vaikunttadarshanam for thousands and thousands of devotees.
