What sets this temple apart is the presence of Lord Dhanwanthari, the God of medicine, worshipped alongside Durga. Legends suggest that Lord Dhanwanthari resides behind the Durga idol. This unique combination allows devotees to seek blessings for both physical and spiritual well-being. Devotees can participate in special poojas like Durga Dhanwanthari Pooja and Dhanwanthari Pushpanjali to appease both deities. The more temple faces west, and visitors are advised to follow a formal dress code. Dhoti or mundu (traditional Kerala attire) is mandatory to enter the inner sanctum.
