Vaduthala Sree Subramanya Temple, situated in Ernakulam, has a significant history. In the past, the Ezhava community residing in Vaduthala faced disunity among themselves. To address this issue, efforts were made to foster cohesion within the community. As part of this initiative, a Bhajana Madom was established approximately 72 years ago. Initially, it housed a photo of Lord Subrahmanya, around which bhajans and poojas were conducted. Subsequently, recognizing the need for a formal sanctum, a temple was constructed, and an idol was consecrated, facing the west. This temple is now under the management of the Vaduthla Branch of the S N D P, with approximately 521 families
more as members. Notably, devotees from all communities visit the temple, with a particularly high turnout on the auspicious occasion of Shasti.
