Poovakkulam Hanuman Temple, over 1700 years old, once stood where the present Ayyan Kuzhakkal Sreedharma Sastha Mahadeva Temple now resides, nestled between the Amanakara Shree Bharathaswamy Temple and the Methiri Sree Sathrughnaswamy Temple in the revered Ramapuram region of Nalambalam. With time, the Hanuman Temple faded into obscurity, leaving only the temple of Sree Dharma Sasta with Swayambhu Mahadeva and Mahavishu intact. However, recent endeavours by devotees, including a Deva Prasna, affirmed the necessity of rebuilding Sri Hanuman Temple. Last year, Sabarimala Melshanthi Brahmasree Neelamana Parameswaran Namboothiri laid the foundation stone for this reconstruction effort. A 6-foot-tall idol of Sri Hanuman Swamy will be enshrined within a 12-foot-high
more stone Mandapa at the original site of the ancient shrine, where the revered deity had been worshipped for centuries but had fallen into disrepair over time. The temple's worship system is designed to allow devotees to directly perform poojas, decorations, and anointments. We extend a warm invitation to all devotees visiting Nalambala Darsanam to seek the blessings of Sree Hanuman Swami at this ancient sanctuary, praying for eternal prosperity, healing, and well-being for themselves and their families.
