This temple is situated at Nayarkuzhi in Chtathamangalam Panchayath of Kozhikodu district. The idol of Santhaana Gopala Moorthy, in the sanctum facing the west, is believed to have been consecrated by Sage Gautama more than 500 years ago. The temple previously belonged to Sri. Achuthan Namboothiri of Karppala Illam. Later, about 35 years ago, it was handed over to a committee of the local devotees. The temple suffered some destruction during the Khilafath movement. The restoration work of the temple is going on.
