This famous Devi temple is situated at Kappil in Krishnapuram of Alapuzha district. It is believed that poojas were performed here even a long time ago, at the time the Pandalam Royal family ruled the land and later when the Kayamkulam Royal family took over. This is the only temple in the country where the ritual of Vettila parathal ‘is conducted.
