Shaktikavu Sreekrishna temple is situated in the serene and beautiful village of Puthuvsssery in Kanjiramattom, a place around 25 km from Ernakulam railway station in the same district. It is located on the Ernakulam-Thalayolaparambu route by bus. The temple is said to be built in the 16th century AD. Though the presiding deity of the temple is Lord Krishna, Goddess Bhuvaneswari has equal importance in the temple. The temple has Lord Shiva, Vanadurga, Goddess Saraswati, Lord Ganesha, Lord Ayyappa and Nagadevatas as upadevas. The six-day annual ulsavam in the temple begins with the hoisting of the holy flag
more on the Anizham star in the Malayalam month of Dhanu and concludes with aarattu on Thiruvonam day. The temple is owned by Puthuvamana, a prominent Brahmin family in the area. Now the temple is being looked after by a committee of Puthuvassey-Mampuzha NSS karayogam. Manayathat family has the tantrik right in the temple. It is believed and observed that the Lord Guruvayoorappan has his presence in the temple. Palpayasam and kadalipazha palpayasam are the the main offerings to the Presiding deity, Lord Krishna, (Chaturbahu). Neippayasam, ellupayasam, ottayappam, padmamittu neidyam are the other offerings to the deities.
