Velloorkonam Kavil Bhagavathy Temple in Attingal, Trivandrum, traces its roots to an age-old history revealed through devaprashnas held on various occasions. The primary sanctum sanctorum is believed to be almost 800 years old, with its origins tied to the ancestors of the Royal Soldiers. The presiding deity of the temple is Goddess Bhadra, and alongside her, devotion extends to Nagaraja, Nagayakshi, and Karinagar in Sarppakavu. However, due to inadequate management at a certain point in time, the temple suffered destruction, leading to the relocation of the Devi Vigraham to a makeshift hut. In subsequent generations, through devaprashnas, the temple underwent reconstruction. The reestablishment included the consecration of Goddess
more Bhadra, Lord Sree Maha Ganapathy, Lord Ayyappa, and other Upadevathas. Following the Ashtamangala Devaprashana, the temple underwent comprehensive reconstruction, including the addition of a chuttambalam, and the consecration of deities took place in 2010.
