Manikyapuram Sri Vishnu Temple is located about half a kilometre south of the famous Sri Thirumandhamkunnu Bhagwati Temple at Angadipuram in Malappuram in Kerala State. About a thousand years ago from the land of Chola, a family of Vaishya who were living in the village of Marulothumangalam near Thanjavur had brought this deity of Sri Narasimha Murthy to Angadipuram. The Lord is facing west which is believed to be very auspicious and this Temple became very popular thanks to the efforts of Ettu Veetil Achchanmar.
