This ancient temple is
situated in the small village of Njeralam in Mannarghat Thaluk of Palaghat
district. The idol we see here is that of Lord Sree Rama, decked up in all
royal finery, at the time of his coronation. The devotees believe that
worshipping the Lord here is equal to going to the temples of Rama, Bharatha,
Lakshmana and Shathrugna on the same day, which is a very popular practice in
Kerala. The big sanctum is circular.
There is a pond measuring 2.22 acres attached to the temple. The famous
Idakka artist, Njeralath Rama Poduval used to work in this temple.
