Onamthuruthu Sreekrishna Temple is situated in Onamthuruthu within the Neendoor village, near Ettumanoor in the Kottayam district of Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Bhagavan Sri Krishna as its primary deity. Historical accounts suggest that the murti venerated in the temple once served as the upasana murti for Pattyal Swamiyar. This significant murti stands six feet tall and possesses four arms. Interestingly, there are two interpretations or sankalpams associated with this murti: some regard it as Balagopala, while others recognize it as Bala Narasimha. The temple's circular sanctum sanctorum, known as the Vatta Sreekovil, is oriented towards the east. A fascinating legend surrounds the temple's establishment, suggesting that
more the Prathishta was ceremoniously conducted by Dharmaputra, also known as Yudhisthira, from the epic Mahabharata.
