Kundanoor Sree Mahadeva Temple, situated north of Vyttila in Ernakulam, holds a unique history. Initially, the landowners worshipped Veerabhadra on this site. Subsequently, recognizing the community's desire for a temple, the land transitioned to the SNDP Yogam. Upon astrological evaluation, the divine presence of Lord Shiva was discerned, leading to the consecration of the deity as Mruthyunjaya Moorthy. Today, this temple stands as a cherished institution, embraced by over 150 local families who ardently uphold its significance and traditions.
