Jatayu Kodanda Rama Temple stands not as a response to any shortage of Rama temples in the state but rather as a tribute to the enduring ideals embodied by Jatayu himself. These ideals encompass moral values, a role model worth emulating, and unwavering devotion, forming the foundation for the establishment of a Rama temple at this site. Consequently, this temple is envisioned as a central hub for disseminating the timeless message from the life of Sri Rama to the entire world and for promoting the concept of Rama Rajya. In pursuit of these objectives, a comprehensive action plan has been devised. Furthermore, the evolving religious landscape of more the state underscores the urgency of propagating Sri Rama's cultural heritage. Kerala has recently witnessed notable shifts in its religious demographics, marked by a noticeable decrease in the population of followers of Indian religions. This transformation can be attributed to the high level of tolerance and hospitality ("Atithi Devo Bhava") ingrained in Hindu culture. This demographic shift has reached a point of concern, to the extent that it has hindered Hindus from even erecting a statue of Thunchath Ezhuthachan, the Father of the Malayalam language, at his birthplace in Tirur Town in Northern Kerala.
