History

Thirumarayoor Hanumad Pujitha Sree Rama Swamy Temple stands as a steadfast symbol of unwavering faith. The name Thirumarayoor derives from its association with a concealed archery site. Noteworthy as the sole Hanuman temple worldwide exclusively dedicated to Lord Rama, the Thirumarayoor Temple witnesses’ regular worship of Hanuman by his devoted followers. It is firmly believed that Hanuman's presence graces the temple daily, with the devout asserting his arrival at 3.30 am to pay homage to Lord Rama. The tangible evidence of this divine occurrence is marked by the resonant echoes of trumpets and bells during the daily pooja. Testimonies from locals in the vicinity affirm the auditory experience, further substantiated by the observation of flowers and mint appearing as offerings during the morning pooja.
