This temple is at Ramanattukara in Vazhayoor Panchayath of Malappuram District. This is one of the eighteen Thali temples of ancient Kerala. But when Thali temples usually have Lord Siva consecrated in them, here it is Lord Vishnu consecrated facing the east. In earlier times the temple belonged to the Azhinjilam Erady family. The Zamorin captured the temple with the help of Mondambalath Moosad. During the attack by Tippu Sultan, the temple was destroyed. It was after a long legal battle that the temple land was got back and the temple reconstructed.
