This temple is situated at Karukachaal in Kottayam district. It belonged to the Parappukad family. When there were some problems in the family astrological consultations were held and the family was instructed to build a temple for the Goddess. It took more than 13 years to complete the building of the temple. There is an 82-foot-high Gopuram in the temple constructed according to the Tamil style of temple architecture. The idol is not carved out of a single stone. The rituals are according to the Kerala system.
