The Sree Narayanapuram Mahavishnu Temple holds within its sanctum an idol that is steeped in legends, believed to be approximately 1500 years old. The revered Eroor Pulayannoor Mana holds the highest authority over this temple. In 1979, a Trust was established, and from this Trust, nine committee members are selected as Devaswam members responsible for overseeing the temple's various functions. The temple boasts a distinctive architectural layout, featuring a rounded Sreekovil with a copper-plated nalambalam, Balikkalpura, Chembudhwajam, and Anappanthal. The magnificent four-handed idol of Lord Mahavishnu is positioned facing eastward, adorned with divine symbols:the Shangu (conch shell), Chakra (discus), Gada (mace), and Padmam (lotus).
