This temple is situated at Kamaleswaram of Manakadu in Thiruvanathapuram. The temple is around 300 years old. The Aryans brought the Goddess from Aryankuzhi of Thakkala in Kanyakumari and consecrated it near the pond of the house of Vilayil family. That is how this place also came to known as Aryankuzhi. In the beginning the priest from the Padmanabhaswamy temple used to perform the poojas here. Though the Goddess is consecrated here as Bhadrakali, the priests are of the opinion that they can feel the presence of different deities while performing the poojas. The consecration is in the form of a Kannadi shila. But she is depicted
more as a young girl while performing rituals. The Goddesses of Attukaal, Mukkolakkal, Konchiravila, and Lord Shastha of Manakkad are considered to be closely associated with Aryankuzhi Bhagavathy. Ganapathy also has been consecrated with great importance at this temple.
