This temple is at Pandalam in Pathanamthitta District. The deity is Sree Krishna as a young boy. It has become famous for the Uri vazhipadu that is believed to be effective for fulfilling all desires of the devotees. The consecration was made 68 years ago on the banks of the Polachira pond near the lake. Devotees believe that what happened during the time of the consecration mark this as one of the most sacred spots for the worship of Lord Krishan. The sky was clear on the day of the consecration but suddenly it started raining heavily with thunder and lightning. The presence of the more sacred kite above the temple at the time of consecration is also taken as a sign of the strong presence of the Lord here. When the Thazhikakudam on top of the temple was taken out for reconstruction, the betel leaves that were kept there during consecration many years ago, were seen to remain fresh. Devotees see this also as a sign of the great power of the deity. Before the construction of the temple this area was marshy and deserted and people were afraid of venturing out there for fear of the presence of an evil force named Kaayal Maadan. But after the construction of the temple the place has become safe from this evil presence.
