This temple is more than 1700 years old. There
are two temples; one of Sree Dharma Shastha and the other of Narasimhamoorthy.
The Shastha is self-originated and the temple floor was made to suit the lower
level of the idol. The most unusual offering here’s that o keeping a bronze
statue of a dog in front of the idol of Dharmashastha. Many devotees make this
offering vouchsafing the belief that what you desire will be granted on making
this offering. Narasimhamoorthy is seen as he appeared immediately after the killing
of Hiranyakashipu. Ganapathy and Shiva are also consecrated here. This was one
