This famous Devi temple in Trivandrum is believed to be centuries old. The consecration of the Goddess is believed to have been performed by a Yogi and hence Yogiswaran is also consecrated near the idol of the Goddess. Inside the sanctum Navagrahas, Ganapathy, Raktha Chamundi and Brahmarakshass have also been consecrated. There is a serpent grove also in the temple. Thottam pattu which is performed here is unique ritual. Kuthiyottam by young boys is another special ritual here.
