All ceremonies and offerings, including the Nityaseeveli, at the Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple, are regularly performed. Additionally, festivals like Pradosham, Shashti, and Ayilyam are celebrated every month. On the evenings of the first Saturday of every month, the Saneeswara Pooja is a special occasion. more This temple in Thiruvananthapuram is one of the rare ones that houses the auspicious Navagrahas. Krishnan Namboodiripad, the son of Jatavedan Namboodiripad of Paduthol Mana, legally handed over the temple to the NSS Karayoga Union,Thiruvananthapuram when the Brahmin nobles could not afford the daily affairs of running the temple. This decision was due to their confidence in the Karayoga Union's ability to manage the temple affairs in an orderly manner. The Nair Service Society (NSS) has been significantly involved in Devaswom matters for a long time. Committed to preserving temples and rituals, interventions made by NSS over the years have contributed to the upliftment of places of worship. The NSS Thiruvananthapuram Taluk Karayoga Union, following the path paved by the Nair Service Society, established a Devaswom Sub-Committee with a focus on Devaswom issues. Efforts are underway to take over the temples in the taluk that are struggling to meet their daily expenses. Currently, there are three temples in Thiruvananthapuram operating under the auspices of the NSS Thiruvananthapuram Taluk Karayoga Union. Among them, the prominent one is the Sree Dharma Sastha Temple, a centuries-old shrine located at Thycaud in the capital city of Kerala.
