This famous temple is at Aluva in Ernakulam district. There was a temple of the Goddess in the settlement of the Brahmins here in ancient days. But later the temple was neglected and the site was covered with wild growth. An Anjili tree there was uprooted and a stone idol was seen at its root. Astrological consultations revealed the presence of the Goddess there. The owners of the land tried to take the effulgence to another place to be consecrated but the efforts failed. So, in 1958 a temple was built here. Later Bhadrakali, Ganapathy, Subahmanya, Shaasta, Siva, Nagaraja, Nagayakshi and Brahmarakshas were also consecrated.
