This temple is situated at Karukachal in Kottayam district. Bhadrakali is the main deity, consecrated facing the east. The deity is in the form of a stone idol. Kalayakshi and Siva are also consecrated here. There are three main poojas in the temple. According to legend, the Goddess came on the umbrella of the senior-most member of the Kaithakkat mana, who was an ardent devotee of the goddess. Then the effulgence was consecrated at this place. The main festival is in the Malayalam month of Meenam. Planned in such a way as to have the nineth day on the star Bharani in that month. Anpoli is
more the main offering during the festival. The Thanthri (chief priest) is from the Perinchery mana. The local NSS Karayogam manages the temple now.
