Uravapara Subrahmanya Swami Temple

History

The temple is at Thodupuzha in Idukki district. The Pandavas are believed to have spent some time here during their life in exile. Legend says that they made a place for worship and the temple of Subrahmanya is where they offered their prayers. The three big boulders seen on top of the hill are believed to be the ones that they used to make a place for cooking. There is a spot which is called Bheemapada Theerthakulam which is believed to have been formed when Bhima, pressed his foot on the more rock to get water for cooking.
