This famous temple is under the historically important Azvanchery Mana. The day-to-day affairs are managed by an 11-member committee elected by the people of the area. Legends say that the Kolani Sreekrishna Swamy temple was established by Bheemasena while the Pandavas were staying in the forest. The Lord is consecrated as Dhanwanthary Moorthy, facing east. The temple pond is rich in fish which is a rarity. Shasthaav, Ganapathy and Sivan are the sub-deities.
