This 1100-year-old temple is on the banks of the Nila River at Anikode of Mathur Panchayath in Palakkad district. Here Lord Ganapathy, Lord Siva, Parvathi Devi, Lord Vishnu and Lord Ayyappa are worshipped with equal importance. So, a union of five traditions, Ganapathyam, Saivam, Shakheyam, Vaishnavam and Sauram is found here. The place where the temple stands was once an Agraharam, a place where Brahmins lived together. The place lost its glory with the passage of time. Dr. N. Gopalakrishnan, Director of the Indian Institute of Scientific Heritage took the lead in restoring the place with the support of the natives. The temple was reconstructed. more The religious rituals in connection with the restoration were conducted under the guidance of great leaders of the various Matts. There is a secular learning centre, Sandeepani Saadhanaalayam for imparting spiritual training to all people interested in it.
