This temple is at Nedumangad in
Thiruvananthapuram district. In the past, the people of this village used to
make an Ashram and stay there once they had taken the vows to go to
Sabarimala. In the 1980s, the people wanted a permanent place for worship. On
astrological consultation, this place was found to have the effulgence of Lord
Krishna, and so, it was decided to build a temple there. So, in 1988, the temple
was built, and an idol of Lord Krishna was consecrated there. Ganapathy,
Nagaraja, Nagayakshy and Nagakanya are consecrated as subordinate deities.
Consecration day, the day of star Makayiram in the month
more
of Meenam, is celebrated
with a three-day festival. Ashtamirohini is also celebrated.
