This temple is at Korangad,
Thamarassery, in Kozhikode district. The old temple was more than 1500 years
old. It belonged to the Kottayam Kovilakam. But it lay neglected for a long time. When
the land was taken over by a company, the workers used to light a lamp there.
Later, some land was given to the temple, and the structure was excavated and the
temple rebuilt. Lord Mahadeva and Goddess Parvathy are consecrated with equal
importance. Ganapathy and Ayyappa are consecrated as subordinate deities. The
main festivals are Sivarathri and Navarathri. The temple is open for
worship on Sundays from early morning till 9.
