Mookkannoor Sree Mahadeva Temple is situated on the Cherukolpuzha–Ranni Road in Pathanamthitta, Cherukolpuzha–Ranni Road. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Siva, and the subsidiary deities are Lord Ayyappan, Lord Ganapathy, and Devi. The temple celebrates several important festivals and rituals throughout the year, including Prathishta Dinam in the Malayalam month of Edavam on the Makiryam star, the three-day Sivarathri Maholsavam in Kumbham, Aayilyam Pooja in Kanni, Karkkidaka Vavu observances, Ramayana Masacharanam during the holy month of Karkkidakam, and the traditional ritual of Madalachirppu.
