This temple is at Manchanad, Moovattupuzha, in
Ernakulam district. It is on the eastern
banks of the Manchanad river on Ernakulam – Thekkady state highway at
Moovattupuzha. It is believed to have been consecrated by Sage Agasthya.
Mahavishnu as Santhanagopalamoorthy is the main deity consecrated here. Ganapathy, Shasthaav and Bhadrakali are consecrated
as subordinate deities. Apart from that, Naga Raja, Naga Devatas and Rakshass
are also there. Meenoott, feeding the
fish in the river, is an important ritual at this temple. Paal payasam is
another special offering. The temple is registered with the Kerala Kshethra
Samrakshana Samithy. Thanthra Vidya Peedam, Aluva, decides the Thanthric rites
of this temple.
