Elanthoorr is in Pathanamthitta district. The name of the place suggests that it was a collection of Illams. The temple is believed to be 250 years old. In 1998 it was taken over by the people of the locality and the temple was renovated and the idol re-installed. The devotees offer Arunazhipayasam which is considered as the favourite offering for the Devi. The Goddess is depicted in the mild form here and consecrated facing her vehicle Vethali. The sanctum is made of Krishnashila.
