Thazhekad Maha Siva Temple

History

This temple is in Irinjalkuda, Thrissur district. It is believed to be 5000 years old. It is a huge structure on two and a half acres of land, with a 600 sq.ft. courtyard, a 16-pole mandap, and a round sanctum with 64 rafters. There are no subordinate deities consecrated here.
