This historic temple, once neglected and fallen into ruin, was revived through the dedicated efforts of local devotees under the guidance of N. N. Rajeevji Agasthyamala, leading to its magnificent restoration and rededication in 2013. Managed today by the Karad Erattukalan Seva Trust, the temple has since become a prominent spiritual centre known for its annual seven-day festival in the Malayalam month of Vrischikam, featuring Kalampattu Maholsavam, Annadanam, traditional temple arts, grand processions with elephants and Pandimelam, and vibrant devotional celebrations. more Devotees believe that Erattukalan Paradevatha blesses worshippers by removing obstacles related to marriage, childbirth, and other life difficulties, and special offerings such as Kalampattu Vazhipad and Enna Vazhipad are widely performed for these blessings. The temple also actively engages in charitable and humanitarian activities through its trust, making it not only a centre of worship but also a pillar of community service in the region.
