This temple is on the Kollampuzha Koyikkal Kottaram road. 2km away from Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram. It is an ancient temple. Durga Devi is the main deity consecrated here. The part of the Vamanapuram river at Attingal is known as Kollampuzha, whose name came from the Vamanapuram uprising. This river flows close to this temple. According to legends, one elderly man was an ardent devotee of the goddess, and the goddess appeared before him. One evening, as he was performing some rites in the river, a girl came there and requested him to help her cross the river. With great respect, he helped her cross the river and
more then invited her to his house. But as he was preparing to welcome her, she disappeared. That night, she appeared in a dream before him as an idol. He was shown a place near his house, full of sacred and medicinal plants and marked by three lines. She asked him to build a place for her to reside there. The next morning, he inspected the area and found the markings. He built a temple and consecrated her there. Efforts are on to renovate this old temple. Navarathri, Thrikarthika, special offerings during the period of Mandalam in Vrischikam, Makara Vilakku Vinayaka Chathurthi, Aayilyam pooja, Nagarooth and Vavu bali in Karkidakam are observed here.
