Easwaramangalam Siva Temple is located in
Naduvath near Wandoor along the Ooty - Guruvayur highway in Malappuram. Nestled
in the heart of Kerala’s Malabar region, the temple stands as a symbol of deep
devotion and traditional architectural beauty. At the sanctum, the divine idols
of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are worshipped as the main deities. The
temple also houses several sub-deities, including Lord Ganapathy, Lord Ayyappa,
Goddess Bhagavathy, Nagaraja (serpent deity), and Dampathy Rakshassu, enhancing
its spiritual significance. With a history believed to span over 1,500 years,
the temple carries a rich legacy. In 1983, Naduvathmana Valia Subramannian
Namboothirippad entrusted the administration of the temple
more
to a committee of
local devotees. Since then, the committee has undertaken several developments, including the construction of the Mukhamandapam, Nalambalam, and dedicated
shrines for sub-deities. They have also restored the temple pond and built
facilities such as an auditorium, a copper-clad flagpost (Kodimaram), and an
office building. A major milestone in the temple’s recent history was the
consecration ceremony held in 1994 under the guidance of Andaladi Sankaran
Namboodiripad. The temple’s annual festival is a vibrant five-day celebration
that begins on the Pooyyam day of the Malayalam month of Makaram.
